Lead a $200M design, planning, and licensing phase of a multi-billion dollar mega-project for the deployment of a first of a kind small modular nuclear reactor power plant
Managed a team of 6 project management professionals preparing for the next phase board approval which includes detailed project scoping, estimating, scheduling, and risk assessment
Provided technical and management direction, including process and procedure development, to licensing and engineering teams to produce a high quality design and construction permit application for a small modular reactor on an accelerated schedule
Design Engineer
Lead engineer for safety and radiological analysis and plant parameter envelope supporting the only Early Site Permit issued by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the potential deployment of advanced nuclear technologies.
Received multiple industry awards for innovations in engineering and licensing that progressed emergency preparedness initiatives of advanced nuclear technologies and small modular reactors
Created and implemented a process for the technical and commercial assessment of advanced nuclear reactor technologies that led to the reactor vendor decision for the Clinch River Nuclear Project and establishment of a New Nuclear Program for continued research and development
